No, You're Not Dreaming, It's Thanksgiving Already!

It's that time of year when the air goes chill, the leaves change color, and when all of the intelligent turkeys hide themselves away! With that in mind, we would like to take this opportunity to thank all of our readers, contributors, our friends and family, and those of you who've supported us by buying us a coffee or simply shared with us how our magazine has impacted their lives.

Many talented writers and artists have entrusted us with their work over the years, so if you missed an issue, we encourage you to check out our archives!

As we enter the twilight months of 2021, we would love to share some of the fun and exciting things we have coming up!

The Loud Coffee Press Annual Haiku Contest

Way before we published our first issue of Loud Coffee Press, we held our very first Haiku contest! Well, it's that time again, so if you like your poetry short, sweet, and thought provoking-or humorous-keep an eye out for the announcement and the theme of this year's contest!

In case you didn't know, we are working on a writing game called Eight Bells Bluff! Eight Bells Bluff is a writing role-playing game set in a haunted, New England fishing town full of secrets and mysteries created by you, the player! The player writes a tale by using prompts that guide her through the five parts of a story. We designed Eight Bells Bluff for both beginning writers who want to learn the craft and experienced writers seeking a challenge! Is writer's block getting you down? Eight Bells Bluff is your shining light on the rocky shoreline of creativity!

While it seems like we announced Eight Bells Bluff forever ago, we have been quietly working on the game while juggling all of the other LCP-related projects. At this time, we are working on writing the rules and getting the artwork together for a mid-2022 Kickstarter Release! If you are interested in learning more, check out our FAQ!

The Whale is the both the Head and the Heart Second Edition

Earlier this year, we released a book of poetry by Annie James Thomas called The Whale is both the Head and the Heart. Inspired by Melville's Moby Dick, the book takes the reader on a complete journey from cerebral, thoughtful to anxiety while ending in fulfillment.

We decided to release the second edition with all new artwork reimagined by Fred Charles using abstract imagery and dreamy watercolors!

So, we ordered a whole batch of T-Shirts from a company that shall remain nameless (ZAZZLE), and we were not happy with the quality. We are selling these shirts at a super-duper discounted price of $11.34! Get one while they last!

How About You?

We told you what was going on with us, so tell us what's going on with you! We love to get mail, so drop us a line and tell us how you are doing!

If you made it this far, we wish to shake your hand and sincerely thank you! Your support is what keeps us going!

Cheers!

Fred + Annie
