I used to work with a computer programmer who was a farmer in a previous life. He once told me that the fall season reminded him of death. He told me this from the perspective of a farmer, but as I watch the leaves fall from the trees in brilliant bursts, only to turn brown and sink into the dirt, I can see his perspective!
Welcome to the fall issue of Loud Coffee Press! As you might expect from my rambling intro, grief and loss is a thread that runs through many of the stories contained within this issue. Fear not, however; as is our style, we hope to leave you with inspiration to last until the winter issue drops in January. We hope that you enjoy reading it as much as we did putting it together!
